The purpose of the project is to create, clinically test and stimulate the widespread of therapeutic instruments employing the latest technological knowledge of robotics, biotechnology and information.
We are currently studying motion capture systems marker-less (for example, Microsoft Kinect Sensor) and tools for software development, modeling, animation and rendering, able to estimate with reasonable accuracy the movement and structure of people framed (skeletal tracking, face tracking, etc.), in real time. The activities are also focusing on the development of innovative techniques for neuro-musculoskeletal modeling to understand the mechanisms of muscles uni-articular and bi-articular human implementation, useful to develop effective solutions to control wearable assistive systems.
